Perry Jacobs is the Viking's Head Coach. He is a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities, and grew up playing hockey in the Quad City Hockey Association. He attended Augustana College before transferring to Benedictine University to play NCAA Division III hockey. He went on to attend Illinois State University to participate in its hockey program and graduate with a degree in criminal justice.
Prior to joining Augustana's ice hockey program, Jacobs worked with the Quad City Jr. Flames as an assistant coach, and most recently helped with the Quad City Blues high school team.

Mitch Surell is the Viking Hockey Program's Assistant Coach and Recruiting/Scouting Director. He is solely responsible for the Viking's roster, and assists behind the bench when he isn't traveling the country. Prior to joining the Vikings 4 years ago, he was the Director of Recruiting and Player Advancement for the NA3HL's Breezy Point North Stars. Prior to that he spent 4 very successful seasons as the Assistant Coach & Director of Recruiting for the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos ACHA D1 program. Surell personally recruited over 40 players into the program, beginning with 15 players who made up the nucleus of the team's inaugural season roster in 2006-2007. During his tenure with the Bronchos, the team attended the national tournament twice, finishing 13th in the country in the 2008- 2009 season, and 4th in the nation during the 2009-2010 season. Before joining UCO, Mitch was the general manager for the CSHL's Chicago Force for three seasons, where he moved over 50 players from the team's roster to college programs at the ACHA D1, ACHA D2 , and NCAA D3 levels.
